The ranking system consists of six
colors of belts indicating level, and nine
degrees of Black Belt.
Ranking at the beginner
level is based on the student’s knowledge about
the Wing Chun system, its history and
performance of the basic techniques and forms.
As you move up in ranking you will also develop
a more advanced skill set and achieve mastery in
more difficult techniques and forms.
The belt ranking system
doesn't only demonstrate a students progress in
their martial arts learning; it also represents
a standard of real life self-defense
ability. Ask yourself, if you are attacked
outside of Wal-mart will you be able to defend
yourself? Martial arts is only
effective as a self defense if it can be used in
daily life. At LCMA not only will you
learn traditional fighting and defense
techniques but you will learn to apply those
skills defend yourself against street type
attacks.
