All Women can train without having to fear injuries from aggressive fighters.  Any Beginner Class will meet your needs.  These classes teach Wing Chun Fut Kung Fu--real life self-defense  which allows women to fight against  much larger opponents.  These classes will also teach self-discipline, lifestyle and how to apply Kung Fu to all aspects of life.  Kung Fu can give you peace of mind while getting your body in the strongest, leanest shape you've ever been in.  All interested applicants will receive two free classes.  Feel free to just show up or call (816)353-7770.  You can reach Von directly by e-mail:  von@kc.rr.com

Introduction by Von

Welcome to my Kung Fu Women's Page.  I have been training Kung Fu for 12 years as of August of 2009.  The road to discipline is very long, yet very rewarding.  My life/looks have changed so much since my initial lesson that few people recognize me today.  Physically, I have converted most of my body's fat content to muscle.  Even though I weigh more now, I am much leaner and most people estimate that I have lost at least 20 pounds.  Mentally, I have grown from a child to adulthood in the last 12 years.  We all have issues in our lives that need to be addressed and dealt with.  Kung Fu has allowed me to face the abuse that I experienced as a child and take the negative energy which resulted and direct it into a positive.  Until Kung Fu, I felt like I was from another planet and wondered why God kept me down here.  It seems that I was always seeking him, but falling short in every aspect of my life.  As a Bible believer and student, my lack of discipline caused much guilt and stress in my walk with God.  Kung Fu is a tool that I prayed for when I was 8 years old and I believed that God answered "no."  Coming from a rural town in Kansas, we had no Kung Fu opportunities.  In May of 1997, I said another prayer to God.  My pastor of 6 years had been arrested and convicted of embezzlement and many other crimes/sins.  I knew that I needed God's guidance.  My life was miserable and I still didn't have the "peace that passeth understanding."  I asked Jesus to please send me a real teacher or to take me home with him.  I really found no pleasure on this Earth. Within 20 days God introduced me to Teacher Lee.  23 years after my initial prayer for Kung Fu, God sent me a teacher.  Teacher Lee has taught me to seek the highest possible quality of life.  God has answered many prayers since that date and has given me more joy than I can even tell.  Mostly, he has given me hope and a mission.  I have always spent much time in ministries trying to help other women and my heart goes out to all children.  God is allowing me to use my Kung Fu to inspire, teach, and lead others down the holistic path of a Kung Fu lifestyle.  I plan to use this page on our website to inform and motivate others to love themselves--not in an egotistical way, but in an holistic life of eating properly, exercising, and taking care of the body that God gave us when we entered this world--our first treasure!  Please contact me at von@kc.rr.com if you have questions or comments.

Self-Defense/Holistic Seminars for Women/Co-ed

My mission from God has always been women and children first.  To show my appreciation to Christ, I have committed to teaching the basic self-defense skills to everyone he brings my way who has an interest in learning.  I also do affordable seminars on-site for companies and groups.  Our seminars can be as short as 15-20 minutes or as long as 1 hour or more.  We do "lunch & learns," as well as Saturdays.  If you are involved in any group or an organization that could benefit from this service, please call me directly (816) 916-4470--Von Huber

Kid's Kung Fu Classes

Our Kid's Kung Fu Classes are as follows: Wednesdays from 6:30-7:10pm, Friday's from 6pm until 6:40pm, & Sunday's from 4:30 to 5:10 pm.  In Kid's Kung Fu classes, we teach NO COMBAT.  We do not allow our children to hit/kick each other.  We do teach how to strike/kick our kick bags, but we focus on self-control and discipline with our children.  The class consists of a good warm up & stretching at the beginning and then some group forms/routines.  The children then divide into "test review" groups.  Children receive certificates to celebrate 'A' & 'B' averages.  Children with below average report cards will be given certificates for raising and/or attempting to raise their marks.  We especially focus on the student's conduct reports. Any parent who wants to see their very active child improve, must be available to jump in the class and assist the child with techniques/focus.  I can honestly say that I don't have any problem getting children to train and focus when I invest one on one instruction time.  I expect other instructors and parents to invest the same commitment to keeping their attention. Also, parents are welcome to enroll and train in the Kid's classes so that they can assist their child in a practice routine at home.  Children with this kind of support will eventually get their Black Belts in the Kid's Kung Fu program. Once a child receives their Kid's Kung Fu Black Belt, he/she will then graduate into the adult program.  He/she will then learn real-life self-defense skills as well as a lifestyle of longevity ruled by positive choices.  Many parents choose to join their child at this point.  It's a beautiful thing....:-)
