1st... Stopping buying big screen
TV's-- it promotes sitting entertainment.
2nd.. Move those 5 couches &
recliner chairs out the living room & to the basement.
3rd... Put quality workout equipment
in the living room so you have to step over it to
avoid it. Equipment that is put in the basement grows dust.
What to expect the first time at Lee's Chinese Martial Arts Federation?
All guests are welcomed.
There will be no
pressure.
There is no fancy music
playing.
You are not going to get your
first belt in a month.
We do not sell belts, so I
can not promise you a belt.
Belts are earned through hard
work and personal improvements in one's life. (If you do not practice your
kung fu at home, your skills will not improve. If you do not change the
bad foods you eat, your body will not get stronger on the inside--where it truly
counts the most).
Master Lee personally meets
all new guests with a warm welcome.
Master Lee will ask the guest
how he/she heard about our program.
You will be asked the purpose
of your visit.
If your response is just to
visit, you will be allowed to watch only one class. Because our program is
very structured, it leaves us no time for social exchange. One thing that
you will notice is that everybody stays busy the whole hour. No one will be
standing around socializing unless it is a water break.
No CONTRACTS ...... We
do not want to be tied to students who are not kind to all people. Contracts
are a privilege granted to only those who have been with the school awhile or
made it to the Green Belt. Those students receive discounts off their tuition.
We are not a fitness gym that
promotes only external development.
We are a Kung Fu school that
promotes using the kung fu discipline to improve the way we eat, the way we
manage our personal business, the way we manage our social relations, to
getting a gallon of water in our bodies daily. As you can see, the key is
putting everything in its proper order.
Why focus on beating up your neighbor, or winning trophies, when the true war is on the inside? LCMA will help in all the above areas. The first battle you must win is the toughest-- "coming in for your 1st class".
Getting Started
Introductory Test--before any
student can sign up, they have to be tested over 4 (slow) techniques. The
techniques are over basic techniques--steps and turns. The test serves 2 purposes:
#1) It will help the potential student know how he/she will be evaluated as a future
student. #2) It allows Master Lee to test the knowledge of the tester.
The Tester will be a beginner level student like yourself.
80 % is passing on the intro
test. No student will be denied training based on their score.
Passing score means you can
join the main class on your second visit.
A failing score means that you
will retake intro test on your second visit.
After your intro test, our
Admission's Director will explain how our tuition program works,
your options and entertain any further questions you may have.
If there are not any other
questions, the Admission's Director will schedule you for your second class.
After your second class,
you will be asked if you are interested in enrollment. If the answer is yes,
you will be enrolled and given your uniform, lcma logo shirt, testing
material, etc. (all your tools necessary to getting started in your
training.)
If your answer is to not enroll, we will thank you for giving it a try. There are no obligations.
For questions, e-mail me at lcmakc@kc.rr.com or call and schedule you free class at 816-353-7770. To reach Von--Director of Admissions--(816) 916-4470.
We sincerely hope that the above information helps to reduce some of your doubts and fears about learning kung-fu at LCMA.
